The Silver Tourist – Salmon Fly Box

The Silver Tourist Salmon Fly box is a scaled up version of The Petteril Box. Deeper and longer, it’s been designed with bigger hooked Salmon hooks in mind.

It utilises rippled foam to allow easy and secure storage of your single, double and trebled hooked flies. The same strips of British hardwood are used for the construction. Resulting in a beautiful and practical fly box, the perfect companion for that extra special day, chasing the Silver Tourist.

The ‘catch’ is two pairs of 5mm rare earth magnets and the solid brass hinges are fully recessed. This means there is nothing to snag on your pockets or catch in your bag.

Each box has been hand finished up to 2000grit sandpaper and then waxed with homemade beeswax and oil wood finish. This protects the wood but is also easy to reapply. The foam inserts are attached with industrial double sided tape, which allows them to be replaced if required.
